Zusammenfassung: | On 17 November 1989, when the final stage of the destruction of the communist regime in Czechoslovakia began, the last days and hours began to count down for the highest-ranking communist party official – the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, Miloš Jakeš. How did his last week in this position go, was happening in his office, and why did his solution to the crisis fail? |
