STARZENIE SIĘ LUDNOŚCI I WYKLUCZENIE OSÓB STARSZYCH A EDUKACJA DO STAROŚCI

Purpose of the work. The aim of the article is to show what conditions must be met to support older people in the process of social inclusion, as well as to show that active, healthy aging is possible through education into old age. In addition, social attitudes towards the elderly and the scope of education to old age in the Polish education system were examined. Material and methods. The research used the method of analyzing existing data from reports and expertise of GUS (2014, 2016, 2019), NIZP-PZH (2018), NIK (2018), CBOS (2009, 2016), EHIS (2014), NHS (2018) and studies of Wojcieszek, Majda, Nawalana (2013), Miłkowska (2014), Kurtyka-Chałas (2015). Results. Data analysis indicates that there are no socially and educationally activating offers, taking into account the needs of older people over 80. There was also lack of preparation for old age in life. Conclusions. The level of social inclusion of the elderly, in particular above 80 - is very low.
