The Historical and Religious Significance of Some Representations from the Current Arad Territorial Heraldry

This study presents the coats of arms from the current Arad territorial heraldrywith their religious depictions and their meanings. The following coats of arms aredescribed: the coat of arms of the Arad county and municipality, the coats of armsof Chişineu Cris, Ineu, Lipova, Nădlac, Pecica, Pâncota and Sântana towns and thecoats of arms of the Cermei, Felnac, Frumuşeni, Hălmagiu and Şiştarovăţ communes.
