Zusammenfassung: | The multinational climate of 2nd Republic in Lvov prompted a positive atmosphere to create pedagogical theories and educational teleology based upon multicultural and patriotic values. Being pertained by enlivening literary and publishing spirit, it concerned cultural and social reguirements of peaceful coexistence, preservation of minority heritage, and creation of goals and tasks for the multinational society in a newly-revived state. In galicia, this intelectual formation was assisted by such prominent figures as: Stanisław Brzozowski, Jan Kasprowicz, Antoni Kalina, Lidwik Finkel, Ludwik Ćwikliński, Zygmunt Kukulski, Kazimierz Twardowski, Stanisław Łempicki, Kazimierz Sośnicki, Mieczysław Kreutz, Mieczysław Ziemnowicz, and many others. Just to them we owe their scientific pursuit for psychological and pedagogical restoration of goals, tasks and teological educational values. They exerted significant pressure to create an educational model appealing to the values of cultural, historical, and national ethos. The Lvov's society of philosophers and teachers kept searching for strong and clear social and cultural motives of educational axiology. reffering to new achievements in the area of psychology, sociology and in the field od culture and social ethics, not only did they reconcile religious or national differences, but also laid strong foundations for the benefit of the whole society. Th present paper is of considerable importance not only for its historical aspect, it may also help in contemporary education by reminding us about achievements of the Lvov's pedagogical circles in bringing diverse cultures and religions together. |
