Źródła o chrzcie Mieszka I

The basic sources concerning the issue of baptism of Mieszko I, is one foreign chronicle (bishop Thietmar of Merseburg), a much younger chronicle of Gall Anonim and growing through centuries various Polish yearbooks. And although they contain numerous references to the fact and circumstances of the baptism of the first Polish historical ruler, they give discrepancies as to the annual date of the act itself and the most important events that accompanied it. Thus, in the historiography of the origins of Christianity there is still a lot of discussion and hypotheses.
