Zusammenfassung: | The following article primarily focuses on three goals: Firstly, it aims to portray Dieter Roth’s lyric poetry, which has so far been poorly received by literary scholars conducting research into German literature, and offer an introduction into its singular form of publication. Secondly, it looks into the implications that constantly referring to one’s own lyrics as »Scheisse« has on the psychology of production and reception. Thirdly, it outlines a systematic aesthetics of one’s own digestion beyond the fixation on individual scatological motifs or master thinkers. |
