Revanşa „operei postume

The critical posterity of Ion D. Sîrbu is administered efficiently and with maximum responsibility by Nicolae Oprea in the volume Revanșa postumă (The Posthumous Counterattack). The latter combines the interest in biographical details with the one in the interpretation and recovery of certain publishable and epistolary texts. The insistence is more on the “moral fibre” and on the “philosophical fibre” of Ion D. Sîrbu’s prose than on its strict literary value. Deviations resulting from crossing the line of critical admiration belonging to those who have studied this prose are criticised.
