THE ROLE OF INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION IN THE CONTEXT OF THE INTERNATIONALIZATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION

Scientific and technological advances have made their mark on the means of communication, but also on the mobility of individuals. The latter has led to increased interaction and cooperation at international level. In the last decades we are witnessing a significant increase in the mobility in higher education level and the diversification of the types of international cooperation. Inevitably, cultural diversity is also manifested in higher education level, intercultural communication in the academic world becoming an increasingly appreciated subject. The purpose of this research is to identify how the intercultural communication competence influences the academic mobility of teachers and students.
