Zusammenfassung:The text deals with chosen aspects of Czechoslovak-French relationship in the second half of the 20th century. It tries to add another piece in the puzzle of long tradition of the reciprocal bond – in particular, it reflects the contacts of the Czechoslovak reforming communists, who went to exile after the defeat following The Prague Spring, with the eminent representatives of French left parties. The focus is especially paid to the long collaboration, which was established at the beginning of the 1970’s between the non-formal leader of the reforming communist exiles in the west, Jiří Pelikán, and the leader of the French Socialistic party and later French president Françoise Mitterrand.
