Modalităţi de stimulare a inovării sociale la nivel local

We live in a society that operates after sets of disparate values. It can easily be noticed the lack of citizens' interest in community problems, generations of less and less active and involved citizens, younger generations no longer have the feeling of belonging and representation. Under these circumstances, the representatives of the public administrations must identify and implement the optimal solutions, taking into account the objectives and the resources existing at the local, county level. Attracting private investment in the social field can substantially improve the services provided to the population. The present article makes a brief presentation of what social innovation means, and also presents a theoretical model of social innovation at Community level. In the second part, a local development project, currently implemented at the level of Baia Mare municipality, a city in the northern part of the country, with a population of approximately one hundred and twenty thousand inhabitants, is being presented and faces a series of problems social and economic characteristics of the area. The project is a successful model in the field of social innovation, a project with which it won the title of the cultural capital of the youth for 2018-2019.
