| Zusammenfassung: | The period of the Dual Monarchy is mostly unknown in the case of Kolozsvár/ Cluj, including the political system, the social and economic processes. It is rather peculiar, because the city was an administrative, educational, cultural and religious centre at that time. During the dualist period, urban development was so intense that it has shaped the city’s image for centuries to come. Taking into account these processes, two main questions arise: why is our knowledge about this period so limited? Why has it not been researched more intensively? |
