Zusammenfassung:As is well known, publicist discourse is very wide-ranging in issues, diverse in genres and types and, most importantly, highly dynamic in development and open to movement in the system of expressive means, therefore it requires constant observation and periodic studies. In present time publicist lexicon has expanded and is mixed in some directions while it has narrowed down and has become specialized in other directions. It has expanded in the field of news, information, press conferences, speeches, statements, discussions and debates, interviews, etc., in which, based on the very features of this field, the lexicon is somewhat limited and is semantically in horizontal plane. Compared to a study published in 1984, we can say that today in the types of publicist writings there are significant changes both on general features and on the forms and means of language expression. Types of literary journalism nowadays are almost non-existent or are very rare. Particularly in the information and analytical writings there are contrasting movements: the expansion of the press language in these writings is made by means of the sources such as word formation and borrowing unlimited foreign terminology and words). Today in Albania the number of press institutions and audio-visual channels has increased, both at central and local level.
