In short it can be said that the archival service in Bosnia and Herzegovina follows the territorial organization defined in 1995 by the Dayton Peace Agreement. This would mean that the Bosnia and Herzegovina Archive, at the entity levels of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Archive, the Republika Srpska Archive and the Archives of the Brcko District, operates on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina and on the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, several Cantonese / Cantonal archives. in Mostar, Sarajevo, Bihac, Tuzla, Travnik and Gorazde. Archives were not established in the cantons centered in Livno, Orašje and Zenica.
