Wykorzystanie systemu klasy ERP w logistyce przedsiębiorstw

The aim of the article is to present the functioning of the Enterprise Resource Planning system in Logistics area of companies. In the first part of the article the attention was focused on the concept of the logistics system. Furthermore, logistics subsystems have been indicated and also described. In the next part of the article the characteristics of an integrated information system ERP has been made. It included the definition, the main objectives and principles of functioning. Furthermore, factors determining effective implementation and usage of ERP systems have been indicated. In the last part of the article the practical implementations of the ERP system in DB Schenker Logistics and RAW-POL have been described. Case studies indicated the benefits that organizations achieved due implementation of integrated information systems.
