File din istoria neamului Bantâş stabiliţi în Imperiul Rus

The main objective of this study is the attempt to shed light on a little researched matter in the contemporary historical science – the restoration and analysis of the genealogical tree of the Bantâș lineage within the Russian nobility. Based on a few newly discovered archival documents, as well as on the publication of documents and special studies, the author endeavours to fill in the gaps and eliminate the inconsistencies that are encountered in the publications dedicated to the Bantâș family. It is for the first time that an attempt was made to present the weight and contribution of the representatives of the Bantas family both in the history of the Russian Empire and in the relations of this state with the Land of Moldavia.
