NOTE EPIGRAFICE. DESPRE SEMNIFICAŢIA UNOR DUBLETE DIN DACIA ROMANĂ

The article tries to give an explanation to the duplicate inscriptions found in Roman Dacia, dedicated especially to IOM. The inscriptions from Alburnus Maior and Samum-Căşei, raised by individuals, may have a logical explanation, related to the promotion of the dedicants, in both cases beneficiares consularis. For the altars from Micia there is assumed a different reason, due to the specific character of the inscriptions, which are raised by an entire military unit. It is very possible that the two (or maybe three) altars are in connection with the 3rd of January and the errection of a new altar for Jupiter instead of the last year’s which is buried.
