Zusammenfassung: | The article aims to discover the specific aspects of Socratic maieutic and the conceptual relation between Socratic maieutic and the heuristic strategies of modern education. The methods used are: text analysis and comparative study. For identifying the connection between these two concepts this paper selects the essential meanings of Socratic maieutic from the scientific literature, it presents aspects of criticism and counter criticism of Socratic maieutic, and it outlines two important conceptual parallels. The first parallel is between Socratic maieutic and cognitivism in education and the second one is drawn between Socratic maieutic and educational constructivism. |
