J. Thomai "Fjalor Frazeologjik I Gjuhës Shqipe"

"Fjalori frazeologjik i gjuhes Shqipe", developed by prof. dr. Jani Thomai, is the first of its kind in the history of Albanian lexicography, with regard to the type, volume and material it encompasses, as regards the design, principles and criteria applied for processing and presentation of the phraseology in the dictionary. The dictionary opens with a brief "foreword" followed by an introduction divided into two parts. In the first part, "Frazeologjia e gjuhës shqipe" (pages 5-46) deals with theoretical questions concerning the identity of the phraseological units, their form or structure, the organizing members of the phraseological units, the synonymy in phraseology and their modeling ; While in the second part, "Trajtimi leksikografik i frazeologjisë" (pages 47-63), the principles and criteria for the drafting of the dictionary concerning its contents and construction, the criteria for the definition of the representative form, are given.
