Zusammenfassung:In this short material, the authors present the archaeological discoveries from Geru's Valley, in Galaţi County. These archaeological field explorations were requested by “Paul Păltănea” History Museum of Galaţi, as documentation for a future research project that aims at the exploitation and the protection of the archaeological local heritage. All started from a letter sent in 1974 to the director of the History Museum of Galaţi by a inhabitant from Mândreşti (Galaţi County). Through this “notification”, the sender offered some information about several fortuitous archaeological descoveries on the territory of his village. These discoveries have not been published until now, but they confirm the presence in this area of several archaeological sites. The discovered materials are preserved, some in the museum of the local school, some in the collections of the History Museum of Galaţi and some in the Institutes of Archaeology from Iaşi and Bucharest. The authors of this article started their investigation from the local archaeological collection and then proceeded to the field research in order to detect the sites where the artefacts were discovered and also in an atempt to identify new sites.
