Politica UE în domeniul migraţiei – mai multe faţete ale aceleiaşi dileme

This article aims at tackling the migration issue in the EU as a common public policy, in order to determine the degree to which it can be considered as such. The inquiry makes appeal to the historical evolution of the matter (approach that takes as reference the Amsterdam Treaty), the evaluation from the point of view „security vs. freedom of movement”, and in the end it goes beyond the „security argument” towards a broader approach of migration, trying to find answers to legitimate questions previously formulated.
