Under the title "Excluded", János Kőbányai argues in a series of exchanges against the proposed degradation of Hungarian Jews into the status of "nationality". These writings were never published by the Hungarian press, but were condemned to be disseminated as samizdat. The e-mail correspondence next to the articles (with the editors of Népszabadság, Élet és Irodalom and Magyar Narancs) cast light on the political and intellectual environment in which Hungarian Jewry is fighting for survival, or at least for the honor of its ancestors - in vain, if it were up to the corresponding partners.
