UN EXEMPLAR DIN GESTA HUNGARORUM (1747), AFLAT ÎN COLECTIA DE CARTE VECHE A MUZEULUI ALBAIULIAN

The authors of the study present, from bibliographical point of view, a little volume from the collection of old book of the National Museum of Union from Alba Iulia, respectively an edition of Anonimus’ work, Gesta Hungarorum, appeared in Cassovia in 1747 and which comes from original nucleus of the museum’s library, constituted at the end of the XIXth century, by Adalbert Cserni. The little volume from the collection of old book of the museum from Alba Iulia is an extremly valuable copy being printed in Cassovia in 1747 and has almost total similarities with the copies of the so-called edition from Cluj, from the same year, from which was and is different, through the lack of supplementary sheets, from the beginning and the end and through its title page; otherwise the copies are identic. Also, it was considered necessary to be remembered, along the study, the European editions of the paper, which appeared along the XVIIIth century (continued along the XIXth century) and the special interest for Anonimus’ text from that period, which was a time of maximum historiographic interest manifested towards the historical source so much made known, even from the fifth decade of the same century.
