Zusammenfassung:The study of armament was and is still a challenge and a special attraction for researchers. Through this present paper we want to focus our attention on the representation of a sword discovered in Aiud. It enjoyed great interest from the scientific environment; by a terrible mistake the drawing published more than 30 years ago does not fully illustrate the decorum’s image from the one side of the sheath. Rendering an accurate image of this ornament is a good opportunity to discuss the respective artefact.
