Zusammenfassung: | Over the last decades astonishing developments have marked our lives mainly in economy and technology. People, almost all over the world, have been experiencing changes in an accelerated pace and rhythm, demanding radical adjustments pertaining to everyday activities. Inevitably, educational norms had to be reformed to cope with real market needs. Traditional media of providing knowledge and developing skills failed to satisfy these needs. As a result, educationists and policy makers shifted to new ways of course delivery which would be more effective. It was, then, as early as 1993, that online delivery of courses started. The advent of e-learning ambisiously emerged from education participants as the innovative solution to these problems. This paper will focus its interest and concern on the analysis of tangible social benefits of the system based on empirical research emphasizing their role in successful education and/or training outcomes. |
