Zusammenfassung: | In conclusion we could say that semantics in Albanian is a broad field of study that remains still not researched enough. However, further research is needed in the future to comprehensively explore the terminology of semantics, aiming for its scientific unification and standardization. For purposes of observing the achievements in the Albanian linguistics within the realm of semantics, particularly in the lexical aspect, we have provided a comprehensive analysis of semantic terms found in dictionaries, research papers, university academic publications, and even in texts related to pre-university education in the Albanian language, including in the translations. Looking at the overall data we brought above, we can come to, at least, three main conclusions: Firstly, the “Comparative Dictionary of Linguistic Terms” (2011) contains more than 8,000 terms in total, as compared to approximately 3,500 terms contained in the “Dictionary of Linguistic Terms” (1975). Additionally, the “Comparative Dictionary of Linguistic Terms” contains nearly twice as many terms from the realm of semantics compared to the 1975 edition of the “Dictionary of Linguistic Terms”. Certainly, it is important to note that the dictionaries we have compared reflect distinct terminological realities, slightly differing in terms of typology as well. Secondly, the number of semantics-related terms found in theoretical studies and university publications in this field is nearly twice the number of terms contained in the “Comparative Dictionary of Linguistic Terms” from 2011, and almost three times the number of terms contained in the “Dictionary of Linguistic Terms” from 1975. However, several key terms in the field of semantics, which are commonly used by researchers in their works of semasiological character, are not included in the “Comparative Dictionary of Linguistic Terms” from 2011, which, as mentioned earlier, increases the overall number of linguistic terms and specifically ones related to semantics. Nevertheless, it fails to reflect crucial terms such as semantic block, metaphorical block, general lexical meaning, categorical lexical meaning, specific lexical meaning, semantic nuance (as one of the semantic units), semantic topic, indicator of reality, closest class indicator, subject indicator, construction indicator, indicator of features, indicator of use or function, indicator of the environment, indicator of history, and that of reality, etc. Thirdly, in the studies of semasiolog |
