POWSTANIE I DZIAŁALNOŚĆ OŚWIATOWA KOŁA TOWARZYSTWA SZKOŁY LUDOWEJ W RZESZOWIE W LATACH 1892-1939

The article provides basic information on the activities of the Club of the People’s School Association in Rzeszów in the years 1892-1939. A historical and pedagogical analysis of the manuscripts of the minutes of the Club’s authorities’ meetings and other archival materials, allowed to define the main forms of the Club’s educational work. The Club’s activities were initiated by people who perceived education, religion, and moral upbringing as an important element in human development. It was established that the most popular forms of the Club’s educational work in Rzeszów were lectures, courses for illiterate people as well as vocational training.
