Zusammenfassung:Plant Knitting is a craft that is included in traditional arts and is accepted as the first examples of handicrafts according to literature information. Starting with the need for shelter and shaped according to the needs of the time and social characteristics, plant knitting products were shaped and used in different forms, especially baskets. With technological developments and the change in the perspective of fiber art, the technical and usage characteristics of plant knitting have changed and it has started to be evaluated in plastic arts as well as being a craft product. The works, which are evaluated in different forms and shapes in art movements and created with the combination of craft and art, have also attracted the attention of artists working in the field of Kinetic Art and works that create movement perceptions have been created. This research, in which the movement itself and its effects are evaluated in plant knitting works designed with kinetic art; It is addressed with the aim of contributing to the sustainability of cultural heritage. In the research; the technical features and usage areas of the craft were examined with the Descriptive Scanning method, and the artworks created with the effect of kinetic art were interpreted with the Visual Analysis method. In addition to being created in object forms, it has been determined that the works are used as decor elements in interior and exterior spaces or to create structural forms in architectural structures. It has been determined that the interpretation of the craft of plant knitting, which finds meaning in contemporary art beyond temporal boundaries, with different perspectives, contributes to the transfer of cultural heritage while maintaining the currency of the craft and supports the struggle for existence within sustainable handicrafts. Considering that technological developments are rapidly advancing and affecting artistic activities, it is presented as a suggestion in the research that studies involving real movements and motion can be carried out.
