Zusammenfassung:The text briefly presents the main ideas in Daria Karapetkova’ s book “The boot in the Bulgarian literature fashion”. The reception of two Bulgarian translations of “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare is being examined. The translations are by Valeri Petrov from 1981 and Vladimir Nikolov – Svintila from 1996. The problem of re-translation and its real necessity are commented on. In addition, examples from the two translations of the text in Bulgarian language are discussed, with the original text as a starting point. The examples are compared and commented. The correct approaches to achieving a successful translation are discussed.
