Zusammenfassung: | This text describes contacts of the philosopher, politician, state builder and first president of the Czech Republic Tomas Masaryk with Bulgarian public figures and intellectuals, focusing its attention on Boris Vazov and his family members Elizaveta, Sabina and Elka from the time when he was Minister Plenipotentiary of Czechoslovakia. An unknown “page” of Bulgarian-Czech reciprocated feelings is the newly discovered letter of Binka Vazova, published here and presenting the second meeting (in 1929) of the Vazovs with the family of President Masaryk at Lany summer palace. This letter can be named a documentary artistic story because it combines photographic punctuality and completion with the emotionality of the youth and their inherent sense of humor. Masaryk’s charisma swayed Binka Vazova who wrote a deeply moving article on the occasion of the death of Masaryk in 1937. Vazov’s language of Boris and Binka Vazov is a memory about the great and charming figure of the Bulgarians’ friend Tomas Masaryk. |
