The author sets out his view that the idea of founding a contemporary philosophical anthropology could not have arisen independently of previous rich and diverse notions, however paradoxical that may seem. This is evident in numerous questions debated by the centuries's old tradition against which the founders and representatives of contemporary philosophical anthropology are up in arms.
