Zusammenfassung: | The subject of the work is the figure of the Pantler (Stolnik) of Żydaczów and general administrator of the property of Queen Maria Kazimiera d’Arquien Sobieska Mikołaj Krogulecki. The purpose of the article is to try to answer the question about the scope of activity and the values which in his work M. Krogulecki held in the direct service of the Queen in the years 1677–1698, and after her departure to Rome in 1698, being subordinated to the orders of the Voivode of Belz Elżbieta Sieniawska née Lubomirski. The paper presents in turn the issues concerning the origin and beginnings of Krogulecki’s service at the Sobieskis’ court, responsibilities related to the administration of royal property and residences, trade issues and him acting as a political informant. Krogulecki’s relations with other Sobieskis’ courtiers were touched on this occasion. After 1698, when the queen went to the Eternal City and entrusted Sieniawska with the management of her possessions, the scope of Krogulecki’s duties expanded. In addition, he was subordinated to the Voivode of Belz, including on donating the proceeds of Queen’s goods and sending them to Rome. However, it soon turned out that Krogulecki was also obliged to provide services to Sieniawska, her court, courtiers and resolve matters related to her private property. Therefore, a question was asked about Krogulecki’s loyalty, which he showed to both protectors. On this occasion, the matter of the sale of Jaroslaw and Tarnopol goods by Maria Kazimiera to Sieniawska in 1705–1707 was discussed in greater detail. Maria Kazimiera d’Arquien Sobieska and Elżbieta Sieniawska née Lubomirski formulated their own opinions about Krogulecki’s work. It was considered that the Jewish carpentry’s dependence on both ladies had the characteristics of a customer relationship, thanks to which Krogulecki could be promoted and obtained land grants. |
