Zusammenfassung:The aim of this paper is to point out the new knowledge and skills that employees need to have in the digital age in which robots are becoming more and more present in the workplace. Robots started to over work tasks and activities that are routine, repetitive and highly standardized. With the progress of technology, robots are starting to take over more complex and challenging work tasks as well. As a result, employees are faced with new challenges and fears. Fear of job loss and job insecurity fostered employees to acquire new knowledge and skills that cannot be automated. Continuous learning is becoming the destiny of every individual who lives and works in the digital age.
