Zusammenfassung: | Thanks to the translation of comics into cartoons and movies, the audience fascinated by heroes and superheroes has grown exponentially. Multimodal communication has boosted reading, and consequently the translation of comics that are considered as part of our cultural heritage, such as the Asterix le Gaulois series. The need to make film productions accessible in as many languages as possible has also naturally led to new forms of translation such as the subtitling or dubbing of characters’ dialogues. The two types of translation, for the printed and for the audiovisual media, can mutually reinforce each other, resulting in beneficial effects for their recipients. |
