Zusammenfassung:Homework is a fundamental part of school education and teaching activities, and is an important channel to consolidate and deepen what is learned in the classroom. The study investigates the current situation of students' homework in the western region of China after the implementation of the “double reduction” policy by using the data from the 2022 Shaanxi Provincial Basic Education Quality Test, and analyzes the differences between students and school factors by using multiple linear regression. The study showed that the burden of students' homework was reduced after the implementation of the “double reduction” policy, but the quality of students' homework still needs to be improved, and the degree of parents' involvement in homework is not in line with the policy requirements, and there are significant differences in the reduction of students' homework, the quality of homework, and the degree of parents' involvement in homework among grade levels, achievement levels, school nature, and geographic locations
