Zusammenfassung: | Actually, livestock production systems depend on low-quality foods, for
which foliage of trees and shrubs can be used as an alternative fodder
to supplement due to higher content of protein and minerals. This study
assessed the chemical composition and nutritional value of Erithryna
fusca , Clitoria fairchildiana , Trichantera gigantea , and Cratylia
argentea established in two soil types in the Colombian Amazonia
piedmont. The chemical composition (crude protein-CP, neutral detergent
fiber-NDF, acid detergent fiber-FAD) and in vitro digestibility were
determined in fodder. The results showed a high variability (P |
