Zusammenfassung:An experimental study was carried out to evaluate the generation of antibodies for rabies virus and its persistence in time, using 30 pregnant West African and Barbados black belly sheep. Three groups of 10 sheep were randomly organized: (G1) vaccinated, (G2) vaccinated plus levamisol, and (G3) control. Serologic evaluation through seroneutralization test in lactating mice was done for all groups from 0 to 135 days, and antibodies titles were established using the Reed & Munch formula, considering levels greater than 1.5 as protectives against rabies. A factorial 3x2 analysis of variance and Duncan tests were used for statistical analysis. Serologic response was detected for G1 and G2 15 days after vaccination, reaching the highest titles between 90 and 105 days, just before parturition. Statistical significance (P
