Zusammenfassung:Digital all-pass filters having adjustable peak group delay, center frequency of delay, and delay bandwidth were used to determine the quantitative sensitivity to group-delay distortion in the midfrequency range (where the ear is most sensitive). Broadband impulsive test signals (clicks) were first phase distorted in different amounts and then presented in pairs diotically (same signal at each ear) over earphones.
