Zusammenfassung:The Ingot WFS represents an innovative and indispensable class of sensors conceived to overcome some limitations due to the LGSs geometry, which is significantly different from the point-object originated by a NGS. Here we overview the project, aiming at investigating the performance of an ELT-like telescope equipped with the Ingot WFS, facing different aspects of the program: the needs for numerical simulations and laboratory experiments, the prototype and, finally the future plan for the verification on sky.
