Zusammenfassung:Porcine liver tissues were decellularized to obtain extracellular matrix using chemical detergent based protocols (Protocol I and Protocol II) over a period of 5 days. The extent of decellularization was quantified by assessing the DNA content remaining in the tissues after each day of the chemical treatment using the Picogreen double strand DNA quantification kit. This was normalized to the DNA content of the raw liver tissue to calculate the efficacy of the protocols to remove cellular material from the tissues.
