Contribution of a Wall Shear Stress to the Magnus Effect on Nose Shapes

It is shown that wall shear stresses can make significant contributions to the Magnus force and moment on nose shapes where a mixed asymmetric boundary layer is present. A method for estimating this contribution is developed and demonstrated.
