Historical Perspective on Analysis and Control of Aeroelastic Responses

Brief glimpses of history of aeroelastic analysis and control of aeroelastic responses and their mathematical foundation are presented. This is a continuing story, and many excellent research works in this multidisciplinary field remain to be reviewed in the future. In addition, the history and recent advances in aeroelastic analysis and control of rotorcraft, turbines, jet engines, launch vehicles, missiles, spacecraft, large space structures, and non-aerospace structures were omitted.
