Zusammenfassung: | Simple probability, simulation-based results and concepts used to maintain the continuing pace of pioneering planetary missions are presented. Reliability is the factor concerned with a given fact that each of the engine has a life that is a random variable with known or estimated parameter. If the engine has a random life at some specified operating conditions such as speed and temperature, then the probability of failure and the failure rate will increase over time in the absence of preventive maintenance. |
