Comparison of Visually Coupled System Performance in Helicopter Flight and Simulator Trials

A study was conducted to compare and validate two visually coupled system (VCS) installations, one in a moving-base flight simulator and a second in a Bell 205 research helicopter. Standard low-level maneuvering tasks were used to examine changes in handling qualities.
