Zusammenfassung:Laboratory experiments were conduced to determine the sulfide tolerance of Corbucula japnica at four different shell length groups (1-2, 6.5, 10, and 20 mm). Under hypoxia + 10 mgS/l, the median lethal time and lethal time for clams of size 1-2 mm were 9 and 12 to 13 days, respectively, whereas those for 20 mm clams were 5 and 6 days, respectively. Under hypoxia + 30 mgS/l, the lethal time was 1-3 days shorter than at 10 mgS/l. For clam of similar length, there was little or no difference in lethal time between pH 7 and pH 8 conditions.
