It goes on to consider Uzbekistan's relations with major powers including the United States, Russia, China, Japan and the European Union, and identifies factors which have led to both Russia and China being more successful in establishing economic co-operation with Uzbekistan than other countries. The book concludes by assessing likely future developments"--
