What is Mathematical Analysis? has been written to help the new undergraduate in what is generally acknowledged to be the most difficult part of a first year undergraduate course. The topics included are standard for the subject, the treatment however is not. Students' main difficulties arise from the rapidity with which many new ideas and skills are expected to be absorbed. This book concentrates on the ideas which made analysis necessary and then follows up, in this context, with just a few of the necessary technicalities.
