As well as being a wide-ranging survey of world exploration, it is notable as an anti-Catholic polemic, and a justification of British settlement in North America. Volume 10 includes voyages to India, the East Indies and Japan, as well as the notes of the famous traveller Thomas Coryat 'on his last and fatal voyage' | ||
