| Zusammenfassung: | "In an attempt to solve the tillage problems of the heavy clay soils prevalent in the alternatively wet and dry tropics, IBEC Research Institute in 1950 worked cooperatively with Productora Agro-Pecuaria, C.A., a subsidiary of the Venezuela Basic Economy Corporation, in an experimental program in seed-bed preparation on their farm at Hacienda Santa Ana in the state of Portuguesa, Venezuela. Since the soil of Santa Ana is typical of the excessively wet and dry soils of a large part of the tropics, it is believed the first results of this work may have broad applications."--Page 3 |
