Der in den 1970er Jahren von Serge Doubrovsky
geprägte Begriff der Autofiktion ist am Beginn des

Jahrhunderts zu einem mächtigen Diskursmodell
aufgestiegen, das nicht nur den französischen Kultur¬
betrieb dominiert. Im vorliegenden Band wird die litera¬
rische Autofiktion aus einer intermedialen Perspektive
fokussiert. Im Mittelpunkt stehen dabei vor allem die
durch konstruktive Auseinandersetzung mit anderen
Medien angeregten Transformationen im Gattungs¬
verständnis. Untersucht wird zudem die Instrumenta¬
lisierung medienwirksamer Ereignisse (z.B. Holocaust
oder 9/1:1 ) für die Selbstdarstellung sowie die durch
Photographie,
Fernsehen und Internet ermöglichte Kon¬
stitution transgressiver Identitäten. Erst die Wechsel¬
wirkung zwischen dem Buch und der mediengestützten
Vermarktung der Autoren festigt das (mehr oder weni¬
ger fiktive) Image eines Autors - eine Einsicht, die
sowohl zum Spiel mit Identität und
Self-Fashioning
als
auch zu Kritik an dessen Inauthentizität herausfordert.
