The Dean Martin Show, with its big-name stars

Lee Hale has produced or been
musical director for many TV specials;
has written special material for two
Emmy Awards shows, among others;

Martin Show and as the producer of

NBC: The First Fifty Years. In
1965,
he
left his New York music career to serve as musical director
for The Dean Martin Show. Throughout the show s entire
nine-year run, he not only coordinated its musical
elerpents
and contributed specially-written material, he also
stood in for Dean at all rehearsals. Later, he became the
producer of The Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts and oversaw
the musical content of Dean s specials. Somehow, he also
found time to put together the Golddiggers, the all-female
song-and-dance troupe who appeared in syndication for
five years on their own show, which Hale also produced.
He lives in Beverly Hills.
Richard D. Neely is an actor and writer. He lives in
Beverly Hills.
